Bathroom Fan Ventilation

In our Domestic range of fans, we have a variety of exhaust fans that are suitable for your bathroom or shower. We can offer units for ceiling, wall or window installation. In addition to these fans one can also have a ducted exhaust system of which we sell inline fans that can be used with flexible ducting and ceiling valves to duct the moist air away from your ceiling void and dump the air outside.

We offer run on timers that can be fitted to all domestic fan types. The run-on timer can be adjusted to allow to fan to continue ventilating the room from 3 to 300min after the switch have been turned off.

Oil Store Ventilation

Oil store and flammable liquid store ventilation is a critical safety requirement. We can assist with various ventilation methods to ventilate your oil or flammable liquid store. Fans can be offered as cased axial units for ducted ventilation systems, especially when the store is not part of an exterior wall but need to be ventilated through other areas to atmosphere. We can also assist with either wall, window, door or roof mounted exhaust fan complete with weather louvers, grills and cowls you might need.

Fan can be supplied as fully ATEX certified, or alternatively with lower classifications such as spark proof (Exn) or Flameproof (Exd).

Where corrosive products are stores, we would recommend our range of polypropylene centrifugal fans, fitted with either standard motors or with Exn or Exd motors where the product would be combustible.

Spray Booth Exhaust and Fresh Air

Spray booth ventilation is not a health concern, but just as important to get a quality finish on the product. Why spend hours on preparation only to spoil the final product with a poorly ventilated booth. Booth ventilation can be done with horizontal or downward flow patterns.

The exhaust fans are generally ducted systems, fitted with quality over spray filters.

In applications where a suburb finish is required, we recommend that you have a filtered air fresh air supply fan installed.

Booth Exhaust fans can be either axial flow fans in plate mounted, Cased axials, Bifurcated Axial Flow or Belt driven axial flow fans. Exhaust and Fresh air fans are manufactured and supplied to meet the need of the customers application.

Factory Ventilation

Ventilation of factories and big areas are easy with our BFS exhaust range of fans. These fans are designed for easy installation with a very low running cost with large air movement. The fans are available in 1250, 900, 750 and 500mm sizes. Available in both 220/1/50 or 400/3/50 power supply. The units are easily installed in brick or gladded factory walls and even fitted to south light areas.

Alternative fans for factory ventilation would be roof mounted exhaust fans or ducted cased axial fans when specialised ventilation in specific areas are more important such as containing dust of gas pollution to specific area.

We also have a range of other products available such as evaporative coolers for factory cooling with fresh air.

Factory Oscillating Wall & Pedestal Fans

Elevated ambient temperatures are a major factor when it comes to productivity. Creating a cooler and more pleasant working condition is the aim of all employers. Make use of natural evaporative cooling effect of the human body and install our range of wall mounted or pedestal standing oscillating fans. Our range is available in two different sizes, 500 and 650mm. Both sizes available in either Wall mounted or Pedestal standing. All models come with a 3-speed switch on the side of the motor with a very robust and durable construction.

The fans create a natural draft through the working area allowing a faster skin evaporation creating a much cooler feel for the workers.

Bigger units are also available for more intense operations such as furnace or high dust generated working environments.

Where very large areas need a draft, we have our 1250mm boxed fans that can be supported from the roof supports creating a constant draft. These are especially ideal for long assembly line areas.

Chimney Exhaust Fan / Braai Exhaust / Pizza Oven Exhaust

Our Tirafumo chimney exhaust fan has been designed to exhaust smoke and hot air from your braai and fire place. So, no more smoke and puffing chimneys. The standard fan will be suitable for braai extraction up to approximately 1200mm wide braai openings.

The Tirafumo fan range have been designed to be installed at the top of your chimney, eliminating the need of a wind cowl or chimney louvred cover.

The fans are supplied with single phase electric motors and issued with a suitable speed controller that can be installed indoors to control the extraction rate desired.

Other more industrial fans are also available for long ducted pizza ovens where a straight exit chimney is not possible.

Timber Drying Fans

The timber drying process requires an extremely good quality of product. The environment at temperature and high humidity is an ultimate test for most equipment.

We have various products available for the application of timber drying / treatment. The most common application would be our short cased axial fans, fitted with fully reversable impellers to allow equal air flow in both directions. The motors are specially treated to operate at the elevated temperatures and very high humidity.

Alternative applications where the fans are not installed within the oven, we would make use of Bifurcated axial flow fans for circulation of air. With the Bifurcated fan the motor is not directed exposed to the circulated temperature and humidity.

The external mounted fans are generally used where containers are modified for timber drying.

Aquaponics / Aquaculture / Aeration

We offer a range of blowers and aeration diffusers to the aquaculture industries. Our scope of supply has covered aquaculture, prawn farming, abalone farming, tilapia and many more. We can offer blowers to aerate your tanks up to 8m deep. We have a range of roots blowers that can offer air delivery beyond the 8m water mark if required.

In general blowers are driven by electric motors in a direct driven configuration. For emergency air we have supplied belt driven blowers driven by Petrol motors in the event of power failure.

Office Ventilation

Not enough emphasis can be placed on how important it is to ensure that offices are well ventilated. Its is important to supply fresh air to these areas. We have seen many offices well cooled with air conditioners, but windows and doors are kept closed to maintain comfort.

We have a wide range of ventilation products for the supply of fresh filtered air and extraction of fowl air from contaminated areas.

From your office, to kitchen to even smoking rooms can be ventilated.

Our scope includes cased axial fans for bigger offices, Inline tube fans (Standard and Silent types) for your smaller office blocks and then window / wall mounted units for standalone offices.

Floatation Tables

Floatation tables make the handling and moving of product with large flat surfaces an easy task. The table is designed with a perforated type bed with air blowing from below. The air film creates a air cushion between the working product and the table bed. This allows easy sliding movement of products. Our range centrifugal fans or side channel blowers are ideal products for your project.

Sawdust Extraction

Sawdust and woodworking workshop exhaust systems is an easy and effective way to keep your workshop clean. Properly sized exhaust system helps to contain airborne dust generation to a minimum, keeping your workshop cleaner for longer. It also eliminates the need to continuous shaving removal and dumping. Let the exhaust fan and cyclone do all the hard work while you focus on production.

Shavings and dust are collected in a cyclone system. The cyclone will empty into your choice of bin or bag system.

The most common fan to be used for sawdust extract systems would be either radial bladed centrifugal fan or a backward inclined fan with a high angle blade design. These types of centrifugal fans have a self-cleaning effect and prevent dust from building up on the fan blades. Radial centrifugal fans are generally of a more robust design to withstand the continuous feeds of solids passing through the system.

Pneumatic Conveying

Pneumatic Conveying is a simple and yet effective way to move product from point A to point B. Products from Flour to plastic pellets can be moved using high pressure blowers from hoppers to cyclones, suppliers packaging to plastic injection moulding machines. Use a negative pneumatic system to vacuum products from your supplier’s bulk packaging directly to your production process. The possibilities of pneumatic transfer are endless.

Use a high-pressure centrifugal fan, side channel blower or roots blower to transfer your product.

Air Knife Drying

Air knife drying systems requires a higher velocity at the air knife discharge to get a quality drying “sweep” from your air slots. Depending on the width, length and qty of slots we recommend either side channel blowers or smaller high pressure centrifugal fans to deliver the correct amount of air at the correct pressure to achieve your required velocity.

Freezer Room Fans

Freezer rooms and blast freezers can achieve temperatures as low as -40 to -45°C. Standard fans and electric motors are not designed to operate at these sub-zero conditions.

We offer specially manufactured fans with Stainless steel fasteners, pinned blades and artic spec electric motors to operate at these sub conditions. All electric motors are fitted with winding heaters to prevent condensation and eventually failure in the motors when not in use.

Fans can be supplied as long cased, short cased or plate mounted designs, manufactured from carbon steel with galvanised casing or with 316S/S fan casings and supports.

Fans available from 315 to 1600mm in diameter.

Fire Smoke Exhaust Fans

We now have full certification for fire smoke ventilation fans. Our fans are certified to BSEN12101:3 for 300°C/120min. We offer a range from 315 to 1000mm in diameter. The 1250mm fans are being finalised and will be available shortly.

Fire Smoke fans are designed to exhaust the fire smoke from buildings to allow occupants sufficient escape time from the building.

Waste Water Aeration

We offer a range of blowers and aeration diffusers to the waste water industries. Our scope of supply cover side channel and roots blowers. We can offer blowers to aerate your tanks up to 8m deep. We have a range of roots blowers that can offer air delivery beyond the 8m water mark if required.

Compost Tea Aeration

We offer a range of blowers and aeration diffusers to the compost manufacturing industries. Our scope of supply cover side channel and roots blowers. We can offer blowers to aerate your tanks up to 8m deep. We have a range of roots blowers that can offer air delivery beyond the 8m water mark if required.

Roof Exhaust Fans or Fresh Air Fans

We offer a wide range of roof mounted fans. We have models suitable for exhaust or exhaust and fresh air. The exhaust only units are supplied as either mushroom dome type or as vertical high velocity discharge. Our units suitable for both intake and discharge would be our mushroom type units. We can supply models fitted with axial flow impellers or certain models fitted with a Backward curved impeller where for systems with a higher system resistance. We have roof units manufactured from Fibreglass, Hot Dip Galvanised, Aluminium or Stainless steel.

Our range of soaker sheets cover all our roof unit models and can be manufactured to any roof profile or colour code required.

Enclosed Working Area – Man Ventilators

Our range of enclosure ventilators come in different diameters with flexible hoses in either 5 or 10m lengths. We also stock connectors to join various sections and inlet cones for exhaust applications.

Special units can be manufactured driven by petrol engines, Pneumatic motors or electric motors suitable for EXN or EXD rated areas.
